Welcome back lovelies! On a recent trip to
Marshall's, I was searching for a plain white V-neck tee. I came across this
cream semi sheer tank with beautiful lace trimming, and thought to myself,
ok Britney, you know your history with white and cream and you can't
seem to keep it clean. Should you really buy this?? I figured I would at
least give it a go, try it on, and make my decision based on the fit.
As I headed to the dressing room, a sales associate was partaking in visual
merchandising and was perusing for areas to place new shipment. I quickly
scanned the rack of new goodies, and instantly my eyes fixated on this cream
skirt with a gorgeous lace overlay. I had subconsciously created an outfit,
without even trying! I pulled my size from the rack and no longer was there a
doubt in my mind if the blouse was getting purchased. Total for the two
pieces, I ended up paying about $30 including tax. Not bad, right? I normally would
have opted for a colored top with this skirt, but I wanted to keep the outfit
neutral and let the femininity and delicateness of the lace dominate. I paired
this outfit with my Espirit sunnies, a pair of cream heels to keep
the outfit in sync, and threw in my custom lovecortnie for a bit more
texture. The outfit gave me such a vintage vibe! What do you guys think?
Until then..."Grab your Garb!"
***Style Tip of the day***
Often times we fall victim
to overdressing or overthinking. Sometimes, less is definitely more and the
simplicity of our ideas can often times be great ideas. I know you've heard that
following your first mind is always the best thing to do. In this case I did,
and it worked out perfectly! Minimalistic in nature but beautiful
